One of our dedicated and fully trained consultants will meet with you to discuss ALL of the requirements for the position you are wishing to fill. We not only look at the skills, experience and education required to perform the job but also the personality and cultural issues that may impact. We will ask to see their physical work space and also meet any key stakeholders in your business. This enables us to formulate a comprehensive picture of your “ideal” candidate.
We will conduct a full search of our internal database, which contains thousands of quality candidates. We will also discuss with you advertising and media options and write and place any ads that are required to fill the position. We receive bulk discounts from various media sources and will pass these on to you.
Behavioural interviewing is based on the premises "the most accurate predictor of future performance is past performance ." Prior to interview each position is assessed for the skills/competencies and characteristics that relate to job success. Interview questions are developed to probe into these areas. All candidates are asked the same questions and notes are taken in order to evaluate candidates.
We have an industry leading skills testing package that can test the short-list candidates for any “hard” skills required for the position. This includes computer based testing such as MS Office application, bookkeeping skills, typing and data entry skills and many more. We can provide you with reports and scores on this testing.
We provide a detailed summary on all the short listed candidates.
Reference checking is one of the most vital parts of the recruitment process. As Recruiter’s we have seen many jobs lost at the reference checking stage. We not only know the questions to ask but we also know how to ascertain whether the names and details given by a job seeker are in fact the best ones. We provide you with a full written transcript of all reference checks conducted. We can also arrange and coordinate other police checks and medicals as required by you.
We have access to over 220 assessments for recruitment and development. These tests add value to the Recruitment and selection process by offering un-biased recommendations in relation to cognitive ability, personality, emotional intelligence, safety, integrity etc.
We facilitate the offer and acceptance between you and the candidate. We will provide advice and guidance at the salary negotiation stage and work towards the best outcome for you.
We maintain contact with all candidates that we place on a regular interval. We will follow up with the placed candidate at 2 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months and provide you with a written report of their feedback. We will always liaise with you on any issues that arise to ensure long-term retention.
McDougall HR would prefer to tell you that we have no suitable applicants at the moment, than to place an unsuitable person within your organisation. And remember, there is no fee until the candidate has been formally offered the position.
A package includes the base salary, any fringe benefit items taken as part of a salary package and if applicable, the value of a motor vehicle. For billing purposes and in line with market rates, we value a vehicle at $9000. For billing purposes, we do not include the 9% superannuation as part of the package.
